Adventure Guide (Travel Advisor) Positions Available

     The Travel Adventure Team LLC is growing and we are searching high and low for a few enthusiastic people with a love of travel to join our team!

     As an Adventure Guide, you will have the opportunity to grow your business while helping to shape the company. We provide you with the tools and the training to become a successful travel advisor.*

  • Prior industryexperience is a plus (but not required)

This role requires researching, planning, making, and managing travel arrangements for leisure and/or business travel.

 

It also entails providing tourism-related services and tour packages on behalf of our suppliers. We also provide training, tools, and resources to support you in growing your personal client base. 

 

The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional customer service, exceed client expectations, and keep our clients satisfied to promote recurring business.

  • Requirements

    • Must have your own computer, high-speed internet, and phone.

    • Passon for travel and willingness to learn.

    • Excellent computer skills and ability to operate web-based platforms for booking and research.

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    • Fluent in English. Other languages are a plus.

    • Strong sales skills.

    • Ability to interact, communicate, and negotiate effectively.

    • Personal travel experience.

    • Familiarity with social media platforms ( for marketing activities).

    • Sound knowledge of domestic and international travel trends a plus, but not required.

    • Degree in Hospiality, Travel, Tourism, Business or relevant field a plus, but not required.

    • Experience as a travel agent, advisor, or planner is a plus.

  • Responsibilities

    • Assist clients in ALL aspects of the vacation planning process.

    • Research, plan, and manage travel arrangements from booking past client return.

    • Learn and implement protocols for ensuring vacation accessibility.

    • Provide customer service for clients before, during, and after travel.

    • Build and grow your own clientele lists (training provided).

    • Participate in marketing actvities to drive leads and increase your sales (training provided).

    • Participation in team meeting and one-on-one coaching sessions to include goal setting.

    • Track and report commissions and performance data.

    • Wilingness to participate in educational opportunities, where available.

  • Training

        Our 60-day comprehensive training program, Travel Professional Training Kit, is provided through the ASTA certified travel school, Careers on Vacation. This training program is only available to a limited number of travel agencies in the United States and The Travel Adventure Team is lucky enough to be one of them!

    You will learn:

    • Travel industry basics

    • How to work with travel suppliers

    • How to create an itinerary

    • How to prepare and deliver quotes

    • Effective sales strategies

    • How to drop tire kickers

    • Top marketing techniques for new agents

    • Social media best practices

    • Goal setting

    • Attracting your ideal client

        Our program also offers live training opportunities. You will also have access to a private agent only group where you can ask questions.

     

  • Misc.

    • This is a commission only position

    • You will be an independent contractor of The Travel Adventure Team LLC

    • Our suppliers pay a commission on travel booked through them. Comission is paid to you after your client travels

    • Travel-related benefits are earned once agency earmarks are achieved
